National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic Receives Portuguese Ambassador to Serbia
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today the Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic to the Republic of Serbia Maria Virgínia Mendes Da Silva Pina.
The Ambassador also conveyed the congratulations of the Portuguese Parliament Speaker and delivered the letter of congratulations of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Augusto Santos Silva, expressing Portugal’s readiness to strengthen relations and intensify cooperation between the two countries.
The officials also discussed the potentials to advance cooperation between the two parliaments and agreed that the establishment of parliamentary friendship groups on both sides in the coming period would give a considerable boost to the strengthening of this segment of cooperation.
The Ambassador announced Portugal’s engagement, during its EU presidency in the first half of 2021, in Serbia’s Euro-integration.
National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic extended congratulations on the election of Portuguese candidate Duarte Pacheco for President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, expressing readiness for active parliamentary cooperation both in the bilateral and multilateral sphere, especially within the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
