National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic Meets with Israeli Ambassador to Serbia

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Israeli Ambassador to Serbia Yahel Vilan.

The National Assembly Speaker expressed pleasure at the constant advancement of the political dialogue and economic cooperation between Serbia and the State of Israel, stressing that the mutual respect and solidarity of the two people, who had through history often shared a similar destiny, had significantly contributed to it. Assembly Speaker Dacic expressed readiness to contribute to the further development of bilateral relations, among other things, through an exchange of visits and strengthening of parliamentary dialogue.

The officials discussed the events to be organised in Belgrade to mark the 30th anniversary of the renewal of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Israel, and organisational issues concerning the upcoming visit of the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic to Israel, planned for March.

At Ambassador Vilan’s interest, Assembly Speaker Dacic informed the guest on the activities concerning the upcoming parliamentary, presidential and local elections in Serbia, called for 3 April 2022.
