National Assembly Secretary General – Press Release

The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia would like to emphasise its long and successful cooperation with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), dedicated to the strengthening of democratic institutions, good governance and transparency in legislative bodies around the world.

This cooperation has been ongoing for several years and includes important aspects of parliamentary work, as well as specific projects of great importance for improving the work of the National Assembly, such as the preparation of the Report on the Functional Analysis of the National Assembly Service.

Cooperation with the Westminster Foundation also includes a number of other activities, such as training for MPs, assistance in improving the legislative process, as well as cooperation on European integration issues and thematic projects that address societal challenges, such as migration, human rights and sustainable development. This cooperation represents a significant step towards strengthening the parliamentary system and engaging young people in social and political issues. The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia will continue to support projects that contribute to the development of democratic institutions and the improvement of legislative processes.

We would like to thank the Westminster Foundation for its support and look forward to continuing our joint engagement on projects that will contribute to the further development of Serbia as a democratic and responsible European state.
