The Head of the National Assembly standing delegation to the PACE, Biljana Pantic Pilja, emphasised the importance of the rapporteurs’ visit and the expectation that Serbia will, after almost 15 years, receive a report and move to the post-monitoring phase.

In the discussion, tat included delegation members Vladimir Djordjevic, Dunja Simonovic Bratic, Djordje Stankovic, Tatjana Pasic, Elvira Kovacs and Aleksandar Mirkovic, the officials expressed various opinions and views on the general situation in Serbia, starting from the state of democracy, progress towards EU membership, the state of the media, the rule of law, electoral conditions, through the violation of children's rights and the abuse of children for political purposes, to the convening of National Assembly sessions, the election of REM members, the holding of local elections, cooperation with the Venice Commission and more.

Concluding the meeting, Pantic Pilja said that rapporteurs Tiblom and Emre were able to hear opposing views, which is both natural and good, in order to be able to compile an objective report based on facts.
