They reminded Boaz that he has an open invitation to visit Serbia and underlined their readiness to continue the dynamic cooperation at the level of parliamentary friendship groups. Informing the Israeli officials about the almost daily provocations, as well as the arbitrary, politically motivated arrests aimed at expelling Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija, it was emphasised that Kosovo-Metohija occupy a central place in the Serbian historical, spiritual and cultural identity and that this area is considered a sacred Serbian land. The Head of the Israeli delegation Boaz Bismuth recalled the strong historical ties between the Serbian and Jewish people. He expressed satisfaction with the dynamic political dialogue at all levels and announced that he would soon visit the Republic of Serbia.
The 85th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Canada was symbolically marked with the meeting with the NATO PA Vice-President and Head of the Canadian Delegation Julie Dzerowicz. The officials emphasised that the recent visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia to Ottawa provided an important impetus for further improvement of bilateral cooperation. The Canadian side emphasised that the Serbian community is very well integrated into Canadian society and represents an important link between the two countries. They also emphasised the importance of the further improvement of interparliamentary cooperation at all levels.
On the sidelines of the session, the delegation members had a meeting with the Head of the Polish delegation, Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska, and Polish parliamentarians from the Sejm and Senate. On the occasion, the officials noted that bilateral relations are traditionally good, based on the friendship of the Serbian and Polish peoples. They thanked Poland for its continued support for Serbia’s European integration process. They particularly highlighted the political and institutional violence that the Serbian community in Kosovo-Metohija faces on a daily basis, and expressed great concern about the accelerated dynamics of equipping, arming and training the so-called Kosovo security forces. The officials highlighted the importance of the engagement of Polish members in KFOR, with the expectation that the KFOR Mission will maintain a status-neutral position and, in accordance with the mandate entrusted by UN Security Council Resolution 1244, act proactively to preserve the security and protection of members of the Serbian people on the territory of Kosovo-Metohija
