National Assembly Chairman visits 72nd International Agriculture Fair in Novi Sad
On Monday 16 May 2005, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, visited the 72nd International Agriculture Fair in Novi Sad.
On Monday 16 May 2005, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, visited the 72nd International Agriculture Fair in Novi Sad. Mr Markovic visited stalls of agricultural producers, and, in Hall 3, spoke with the management of Vucje-based Porecje Public Enterprise.
Speaking with exhibitors at the Novi Sad Fair, Mr Markovic underlined the importance of restructuring socially-owned enterprises to improve their efficiency and position in the market. He added that Serbian companies should adopt a strategy of exporting products that are internationally recognised as being genuine Serbian brands.
The management of Porecje Public Enterprise acquainted Mr Markovic with their line of products, the current situation at the company, and preparations for the privatisation process, scheduled to begin in September 2005.
