National Assembly's Delegation at Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session

Taking part in the plenary debate at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on the report “Parliaments united in combating sexual violence against children”, Serbian delegate Svetislava Bulajic addressed the MPs saying that she was pleased to support the campaign which had reached the widest possible audience through cooperation at the intergovernmental, parliamentary, regional and local level.

Bulajic opined that the campaign’s biggest success was the significant number of ratifications of the Lanzarote Convention and the fact that the Committee on Social Affairs is ready to strengthen the intensity and efficiency of the campaign which would result in zero tolerance to violence against children.
At the spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, the Serbian Progressive Party was accepted into the European People’s Party political group, the strongest political faction in the Council of Europe and the European Parliament. After the voting to accept the Serbian Progressive Party, attended by Jean-Claude Mignon, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the representative of the Serbian Progressive Party and Head of the Serbian delegation in Strasbourg, Aleksandra Djurovic received congratulations and wishes for successful work in the Council of Europe political group.
