NARS Speaker Receives Delegation of Serbian LGBT Organisations Representatives
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received a delegation of representatives of Serbian LGBT organisations on the occasion of 17 May, the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.
The representatives of Serbian LGBT organisations informed the Speaker that the situation in the society has improved somewhat, after the Pride Parade, but that the members of this population are still afraid of possible reactions of their environment. “We enjoy an excellent cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, as well as with the public and cultural spheres”, stressed the members of the delegation of representatives of Serbian LGBT organisations Boban Stojanovic from Queeria, Jovanka Todorovic Savovic from the Labris Lesbian Human Rights Organisation, Lazar Pavlovic from the Gay-Straight Alliance, Predrag Azdejkovic from the Gay-Lesbian Info Centre and Boris Milicevic member of the Main Board of the Socialist Party of Serbia.
