Mexico Will Continue to Support Serbia’s Territorial Integrity

Mexican Ambassador to Serbia H.E. Marco Antonio García Blanco met today with Ana Karadzic, Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Mexico, to five her an overview of the situation in Mexico after the presidential and parliamentary elections held on 1 July.

Ambassador García Blanco said that the elections in Mexico went without problem demonstrating that Mexico is a democratic country. Despite the fact the opposition won the election, Mexico will not change its foreign policy, said the Ambassador, reaffirming that Mexico would continue to support Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Ana Karadzic congratulated the Ambassador on the democratically conducted elections, stressing that Mexico is a true friend to Serbia as evidenced by the fact that the relations between the two countries would not be changing, but rather strengthening through economy and tourism.

The officials also spoke about migrations and the upcoming UN International Conference on Refugees and Migrants scheduled for 11 December in Marrakech, and concerning both Mexico and Serbia.

The concluded the meeting my confirming the high level of bilateral relations between the two countries adding that they would continue to work on the development on trade.
