MPs, Ministers and State Dignitaries Condemn Statement of MP Zoran Zivkovic

The signatory MPs, ministers and state dignitaries attending today’s National Assembly sitting, are appalled by the inappropriate, sexist, insulting and offensive address of MP Zoran Zivkovic, president of one political party and a long-time politician.

This rhetoric is unacceptable in society, and especially in the parliament by a representative of the citizens.
The MPs will never stand for this crude violation of the National Assembly’s dignity in the Parliament so we must insist on strict sanctions for this type of behavior by the measures set out in the Rulers of Procedure.

We demand that MP Zoran Zivkovic apologize for his unbelievably bad manners and insults to Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic, whom he had gravely insulted on numerous occasions, and to all the MPs and citizens of the Republic of Serbia, to the entire Serbian public.

The statement had been signed by 76 MPs and nine ministers and state dignitaries.
