MP Aleksandar Cotric at Preparations for Joint Easter Celebration 2025

The head of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy Aleksandar Cotric is taking part the preparations for Joint Easter Celebration 2025, for which he will be visiting Istanbul on 13-15 September and Rome on 18-20 September.

Within these activities the National Assembly delegation will participate in important meetings with the Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Catholic Pope Francis.

These meetings are a definitive step toward strengthening international cooperation and unity as part of the celebrations of 1700 years wince the First Ecumenical Council in Nicaea.

The participation of the standing delegation to the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy in these events is a clear sign of Serbia’s commitment to promoting diversity, tolerance, togetherness, peace and stability in the region. As part of this initiative, the delegation will have the opportunity to exchange opinions and ideas with key religious leaders which will additionally contribute to the improvement of mutual understanding and common activity aimed at achieving a lasting peace and unity among the Christians of Europe and the world.
