Judges and Deputy Public Prosecutors Take Oath of Office at National Assembly
Judges elected to judicial office in for the first time at the Fourth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2018 took the oath of office today, at the National Assembly, before the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic.
The oath was taken by 53 newly-elected judges to whom the National Assembly Speaker wished success, stating that she believed they would arbitrate independently and without bias, in line with the law and Constitution, following their conscience, and ensure a just trial for everyone, thus contributing to the reputation of the judicial office in the Republic of Serbia.
23 deputy public prosecutors also elected to the post for the first time at the Fourth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2018 took the oath of office as well and Gojkovic wished them success saying that she believed that in the pursuit of their duties they would follow their conscience and ensure just treatment for all the citizens according to the law, thus contributing to the reputation of the prosecutorial office.
