Ivica Dacic Sends Condolences on Death of Merima Njegomir

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic sent his condolences on the death of Merima Njegomir:

It was with great sadness that I received the news of the departure of Merima Njegomir, our celebrated artist, one of the greatest we have ever had. Our Merima, who was adored by generations, left behind an irreparable loss and an empty place at the top of our folk and traditional music scene. Merima saved the pearls of our old music from oblivion, we will remember her as the great guardian of our heritage and her voice will forever remain as the greatest monument to her. My deepest condolences to the family, friends and all admirers of Merima Njegomir.
