Hundred and Forty-Ninth Sitting of the Legislative Committee
At the sitting held on 3 November, the Legislative Committee adopted a Decision to organise a public heating on the Uniform Methodological Rules for Legislative Drafting.
The public heating will be held on Thursday, 10 November 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Small Hall of the National Assembly House. Considering that our legal system has not had rules like these so far and that a little over a year has elapsed since the beginning of the implementation of the Uniform Methodological Rules for Legislative Drafting it was decided to hold a public hearing and review their influence on the quality of the regulations passed in this period. It would also be an opportunity to consider whether their application so far has possibly pointed out the need to amend and modify the act.
The participants in the process of drafting and submission of the regulations adopted by the National Assembly, representatives of non-governmental organisations, independent regulatory bodies, as well as expert and concerned public shall be invited to the public hearing.
The sitting was chaired by Vlatko Ratkovic, Committee Chairman.
