At the sitting held on 21 February, the Legislative Committee considered the Constitutional Court’s Request for an answer regarding the proceedings for the evaluation of constitutionality of the provision of article 8 of the Law amending and modifying the Law on the High Judicial Council (Official Magazine of RS, no.101/10). The Legislative Committee decided to propose that the Constitutional Court should adopt a decision stating that said provision of the Law does not contradict the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee considered the Bill on the indebtedness of the Republic of Serbia to Societe Generale with the guarantee of World Bank and declared the act compliant to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Legislative Committee considered the Proposal of the Decision on the Adoption of the Annual Plan for the use of the Serbian Armed Forces and other defense forces in multinational operations in 2011 and the Proposal of the Decision on the participation of Serbian Army personnel in multinational operations in 2011, elaborated by Tanja Miscevic, representative of the Ministry of Defense. The Committee ruled that the decision proposals adhere to the Constitution and legal system of Serbia.

At the sitting, the Legislative Committee also considered the Proposal of the Decision amending and modifying the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, submitted by a group of 99 deputies and elaborated by Nada Kolundzija, Head of the Parliamentary Group For European Serbia. The Committee ruled that the decision proposal adheres to the Serbian Constitution and legal system.
