Head of Parliamentary Friendship Group with Croatia Meets with Croatian Ambassador to Serbia

The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Croatia Srbislav Filipovic met today, at the National Assembly, with Croatian Ambassador to Serbia H.E. Gordan Bakota to discuss advancing bilateral relations, especially between the parliaments.

Parliamentarians, as the directly elected representatives of the people, can greatly contribute to the improvement of relations between the two states, said the Head of the PFG with Croatia Srbislav Filipovic.

Croatian Ambassador Gordan Bakota emphasized the importance of maintaining an open dialogue on all matters of importance so as to guarantee the rights of both national minorities in the two countries and promote good-neighbourly relations. Bakota said that Croatia supports EU enlargement and the accession of all the candidate states.

The officials also spoke about economic cooperation and boosting foreign investments on both the Serbian and Croatian market.
