Head of PFG with India Meets with Indian Business Community Representative

The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with India, Radovan Tvrdisic, met today, in the National Assembly with the representative of the Indian business community, Ashish Saraf, a guest of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

Radovan Tvrdisic stressed how pleased he was with the intensification of economic cooperation between Serbia and India, following the large AI Summit held in India, which was attended by the President of the Republic, Aleksandar Vucic.

"We have many areas for cooperation, primarily the sovereign policy pursued by both Serbia and India, your political stance on Kosovo-Metohija as an integral part of Serbia, the IT industry in which you are making great strides, as well as culture," Tvrdisic emphasised.

He added that Serbia is determined to build bridges of cooperation in these complex global geopolitical circumstances, assessing that India is one of the key players in creating a multipolar world, due to its peaceful policy.

Ashish Saraf said that he had been appointed as the official representative of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in India, adding that significant space was opening up for economic cooperation between our two countries, with a special emphasis on the possibility of Indian businessmen supporting the construction of hotels and providing labour, in accordance with the requirements of the preparation and realisation of the Expo 2027 Specialised Exhibition in Belgrade.
