The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Algeria Maja Macuzic said she was pleased to be able to, through the Parliamentary Friendship Group, help bring the two countries closer together, stressing that today’s meeting is just the beginning of a successful cooperation. She highlighted the importance of the excellent bilateral relations between Algeria and Serbia hoping that the coming visit of an Algerian parliamentary delegation would help enhance and deepen the existing cooperation.

Ambassador Abdelhamid Chebchoub stressed that Algeria had reaffirmed its principled stance on Kosovo and international law. He said that the two countries’ good cooperation is to a great degree helped by the fact that the development programmes conducted by Algeria include a considerable number of Serbian companies. The Ambassador said he hoped that the excellent cooperation would continue to expand and reach an even higher level.
