Gojkovic Sends Telegrams of Condolences on Attack in Saint Petersburg

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic sent telegrams of condolences to Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and the Chairperson of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko on the metro attack in Saint Petersburg.

“We were deeply shocked by the tragic news of the horrible explosion at the metro station in Saint Petersburg, the killed and numerous injured. On the behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and myself, please allow me to extend our most sincere condolences to you and the people of the Russian Federation.

Events like this are an awful reminder of the need for solidarity and decisiveness in facing the evil of extremism and terrorism that indiscriminately threatens the civilizational values of peace and the right to live without fear.

Please accept our sincere support at this difficult time and convey our deepest condolences to the families of the innocent victims and wishes for a quick recovery.”
