Gojkovic Sends Condolences to Iran and Iraq

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic expressed condolences to the Speaker of the Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Larijani and the President of the Council of Representatives of Iraq Salim al-Jabouri, on the earthquake that struck the area around the Iran-Iraq border.

The telegram of condolences to the Speaker of the Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Larijani states:

“We were deeply shocked by the news of the tragic earthquake and the huge number of victims and the missing. Please allow me to extend our most sincere condolences and solidarity to you, the members of the Iranian Parliament and the people of Iran, on the behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and myself. In these difficult times, please convey our sincerest condolences on the immeasurable loss to the families of the victims, hope that the missing would soon be found and our wishes that the wounded get better soon.”

The telegram of condolences to the President of the Council of Representatives of Iraq Salim al-Jabouri states:

“We were deeply distressed by the news of the tragic earthquake that struck your country, of its many victims and the missing. On the behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and myself, please allow me to extend our deepest condolences to you, the members of the Council and the people of Iraq. In this difficult moment we share the pain and suffering of those who had lost their dearest, sure that you would have the strength to help those left vulnerable, support those who have lost those dearest to them and rebuild what was destroyed.”
