Gojkovic Meets with US Department of State Special Envoy
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic met today with US Department of State Special Envoy for Holocaust Issues Nicholas Dean, currently visiting Serbia.
Dean said that the US supports Serbia’s activities aimed at the restitution of Jewish property and expects that Serbia would pass a special law to that end, while Gojkovic said the National Assembly was ready to invest full efforts once such a bill enters Assembly procedure.
The meeting was attended by the US Ambassador to Serbia, Michael Kirby.
