Fourth Sitting of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee

At the sitting held on 4 February 2023, the members Defence and Internal Affairs Committee considered the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Angola on Cooperation in the Field of Security and Public Order, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Readmission of Persons Residing Illegally, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea on Cooperation in the Field of Defence, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement among the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Hercegovina, the Government of Montenegro, the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on the Host Nation Arrangements on the Status of the Balkan Medical Task Force Standing Organization and its Personnel, and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Military-Technical Cooperation.

The Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Angola on Cooperation in the Field of Security and Public Order and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Readmission of Persons Residing Illegally were presented by State Secretary at the Ministry of the Interior Zeljko Brkic.

The Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea on Cooperation in the Field of Defence, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement among the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Hercegovina, the Government of Montenegro, the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on the Host Nation Arrangements on the Status of the Balkan Medical Task Force Standing Organization and its Personnel, and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Military-Technical Cooperation were presented by Colonel Nebojsa Svjetlica, Head of the Multilateral Cooperation Department of the International Military Cooperation Directorate, Defence Policy Sector.

The Committee decided by majority vote to propose that the National Assembly accept all the bills on the agenda.

The Committee members went on to review the civic petitions and proposals it had received and agreed on how they should be handled further.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Milos Jovanovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dijana Radovic, Tomislav Jankovic, Goran Milic, Marija Jevdjic, Slavica Radovanovic, Borko Puskic, Jasmina Obradovic, Aleksandar Markovic, Milan Glusac, Biljana Pantic Pilja, Prof. dr Zoran Dragisic, Nikola Dragicevic and Strahinja Erac.
