Fourth Sitting of the Committee on Health and the Family
At the fourth sitting, held on 6 October 2008, the Committee on Health and the Family of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed the Strategy for the prevention and control of chronic non-communicable diseases of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman Dr Paja Momcilov, and was attended by the Assistant Minister of Health Dr Ivana Misic, as well as Ministry of Health representatives Dr Slavenka Jankovic, Dr Jelena Gudelj, Dr Dragan Miljus and Dr Dubravka Saranovic.
The Committee members expressed their opinions, proposals and suggestions before the Ministry of Health representatives, concerning the Strategy whose public discussion will last until the end of the calendar year.
The Committee Chairman proposed that the Minister of Finance and representatives of relevant authorities be invited to the next sitting whose main topic will be financing health services. The Committee members agreed that the Committee Deputy Chairman, Simo Vukovic be the rapporteur on this item.
