Forty-Fourth Sitting of the European Integrations Committee
At the sitting held on 5 July, the European Integrations Committee considered the Bill on Old and Rare Library Material, Bill on Mandatory Publication Copy and the Bill on Optic Discs, in principle. These Bills were included in the agenda for the Sixth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2011.

The Minister of Culture, Information and Information Society briefed the Committee members on the innovations contained in the Bills on Old and Rare Library Material and on Mandatory Publication Copy, while the new solutions contained in the Bill on Optic Discs were presented by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Science.
The Committee members pointed out the need for better protection of the Serbian cultural heritage in the republics of the former common country. They also warned that a large portion of intellectual property remains unregulated by law.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Laszlo Varga.
