Foreign Affairs Committee Members Meet with Hungarian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Delegation

The members of the Foreign Affairs Committee met today with the delegation of the Hungarian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee currently in visit to the Republic of Serbia.


The officials assessed that the excellent relations between Serbia and Hungary are grounded in the friendly relations between the two peoples and good cooperation between the Hungarian Prime Minister and Serbian President.

Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee and National Assembly Deputy Speaker Marina Ragus thanked her Hungarian counterpart for support his country provides Serbia, especially in view of the fact that the two peoples share the same traditional values and have a similar vision of Europe in the future. Ragus was also grateful for the support for Serbia’s energy stability and for advocating peace in times of war.

The Chairman of the Hungarian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Zsolt Nemeth said that the good relations between Serbia and Hungary are based on the friendship, reinforced in the last decade, mutual interest and common values. He said he was pleased with the cooperation in the field of energy and rail transport, and especially the construction of the gas pipeline between Serbia and Hungary.

In the meeting, also attended by Committee members Vladimir Djordjevic, Dunja Simonovic Bratic, Biljana Pantic Pilja and Aleksandar Mirkovic, the participants thanked Hungary for supporting our country’s path to Europe and highlighted the excellent cooperation with the Hungarian national minority in Serbia.
