Foreign Affairs Committee Delegation Meets with Russian Federation Council International Affairs Committee Delegation

National Assembly Deputy Speaker and Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Marina Ragus, Committee Deputy Chairman Dragan Markovic and Committee member Jovan Palalic, received a delegation of the Committee on International Affairs of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, headed by Deputy Chairperson Yelena Afanasyeva.

The officials discussed the current global issues and geopolitical challenges facing the two countries.

In the conversation, Marina Ragus expressed hope and belief that the challenging situation regarding the energy crisis in Serbia, as well as the problems it may cause, will be resolved for the benefit of all. She also expressed her wish that the peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will bear fruit and that the causes of all disagreements will be removed.

The officials confirmed the importance of maintaining parliamentary contacts and constant dialogue, in such a complex international political situation, so that all important issues of mutual interest can be jointly considered.
