Fifth Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 22 December 2022, the members of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered, in principle, a number of bills on the agenda of the Fourth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2022.

By majority vote, the Committee members accepted the proposal of Committee Chairman Vladimir Djukanovic to complete a joint debate on items 2 to 7 on the agenda.

The Committee considered the the Bill amending the Law on Civil Servants, Bill on the Confirmation of the Extradition Treaty between the Republic of Serbia and the United Arab Emirates, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on Transfer of Convicts between the Republic of Serbia and the United Arab Emirates, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on Legal and Judicial Cooperation in Civil and Commercial Matters between the Republic of Serbia and the United Arab Emirates, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between the Republic of Serbia and the United Arab Emirates, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Federative Republic of Brazil on Legal Assistance in Civil Matters and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Second Additional Protocol to the Convention on Cybercrime on enhanced co-operation and disclosure of electronic evidence.

The bills were presented by representatives of the by Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and Ministry of Justice.

Following the debate, the Committee accepted all the bills in principle, by majority vote.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Vladimir Djukanovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Svetozar Vujacic, Andrijana Vasic, Dijana Radulovic, Dubravka Kralj, Miodrag Gavrilovic, Nebojsa Cakic, Momcilo Vuksanovic, Jovan Palalic, Dragan Jovanovic, Marijan Risticevic, Djordje Komlenski, Prof. Dr Djordje Pavicevic and Vladimir Gajic.
