Fifth Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 21 December 2020, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government formulated a number of decision proposals and forwarded them to the National Assembly for consideration and handling.

The sitting was attended by member of the High Judicial Council Ivan Jovicic and member of the State Prosecutorial Council Tatjana Lagumdzija.

The Committee members reviewed the Proposal of the Decision on the election of High Judicial Council members from the ranks of judges, submitted by the High Judicial Council. They noted that the Decision Proposal was submitted by the authorized submitter and proposed that the National Assembly accept the abovementioned Decision Proposal.

The Committee members also reviewed the Proposal of the Decision on the election of court presidents, submitted by the High Judicial Council. They noted that the Decision Proposal was submitted by the authorized submitter and proposed that the National Assembly accept the abovementioned Decision Proposal.

The Committee went on to review the Proposal of the Decision on the election of court presidents, submitted by the High Judicial Council. They noted that the Decision Proposal was submitted by the authorized submitter and proposed that the National Assembly accept the abovementioned Decision Proposal.

The Committee members formulated the Proposal of the Decision on the election of elective members of the State Prosecutorial Council from the ranks of public prosecutors and deputy public prosecutors with permanent office and from the ranks of faculty of law professors, forwarded it to the National Assembly with the request that it be handled under urgent procedure.

The Committee also formulated the Proposal of the Decision on the termination of office of President of the Appellate Court in Kragujevac and the President of the Commercial Court in Belgrade and forwarded it to the National Assembly with the request that it be handled under urgent procedure.

The Committee members then formulated the Proposal of the Decision on the termination of office of Public Prosecutor at the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Novi Pazar, Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Lebane and Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Becej and forwarded it to the National Assembly with the request that it be handled under urgent procedure.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Vladimir Djukanovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Sanja Lakic, Daniel Gyivanovity, Dejan Kesar, Toma Fila, Velibor Milojicic, Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, Nebojsa Pavlovic, Milica Dacic, Jelena Zaric Kovacevic, Haji Milorad Stosic, Bratislav Jugovic, and Milica Nikolic.
