Fifth Sitting of the Committee on Health and the Family
At the fifth sitting, held on 20 October 2008, the Committee on Health and the Family discussed the financing of the health services.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Dr Paja Momcilov and attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health and Finance, Nada Maslovaric and Milica Ilic respectively, as well as the Director of the Republic Health Insurance Institute, Svetlana Vukajlovic.
The Director of the RHII and the ministry representatives explained to the Committee members the manner in which the health services are financed and pointed out the problems in their operation. The rapporteur on this issue was the Committee Deputy Chairman Simo Vukovic.
The Committee members went on to voice their own opinions, proposals and suggestions concerning the further activities and financing of the health services, and also to discuss the Bill amending and modifying the Budget Law of the Republic of Serbia for 2008, the part dealing with the amendments and modifications to the Republic Health Insurance Institute’s financial plans for 2008.
