Fifth Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly in 2002 Convened

At the request of a group of 105 Deputies from the Democratic Opposition of Serbia Deputies' Group, the Chairperson of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ms Natasa Micic, convened the Fifth Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2002 for July 9, beginning at 10 am.


At the request of a group of 105 Deputies from the Democratic Opposition of Serbia Deputies' Group, the Chairperson of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ms Natasa Micic, convened the Fifth Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2002 for July 9, beginning at 10 am.

The agenda had been set in the written request for the sitting to be convened.

The Assembly will first consider the Public Broadcasting Bill submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

Included in the agenda is also a set of legal acts: Proposal for Modifying and Amending the Law on the Organisation of Courts; Proposal for Modifying and Amending the Law on Justices; Proposal for Modifying and Amending the Law on the Seats and Regions under the Jurisdiction of Courts and Public Prosecutors; Proposal for Modifying and Amending the Law on Supreme Judiciary Council and Public Prosecutors. All the proposals were submitted to the National Assembly by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

The Assembly will also consider the Proposal of a Decision on the Termination of Office of the Bearers of Judicial Functions, submitted jointly by the Committee of Justice and Administration and the Supreme Judiciary Council, as well as the Proposal of a Decision on the Nominations of Members for the Committee on Reconstruction and Development of Sremski Karlovci, submitted by the deputy Ivan Andric, Chairman of the Committee on Culture and Information.
