European Integration Committee Delegation at 7th Interparliamentary Meeting in Brussels
A delegation of the European Integration Committee, headed by Committee Chairperson Milica Delevic, will be taking part in the 7th Interparliamentary Meeting of the National Assembly’s European Integration Committee and the European Parliament’s Delegation for relations with Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo.
The members of the delegation of the European Integration Committee will exchange opinions with their colleagues from the European Parliament on the political situation in Serbia and the progress achieved in the Stabilisation and Association Process since the last IPM, on 27 and 28 September 2012 in Belgrade.
The two-day meeting will be dedicated to the fight against corruption and organised crime, cooperation between central and local governments and the position of minorities, economic development, with a special focus on the energy sector, judiciary reform, as well as relations between Belgrade and Pristina.
Also, the representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy and the European Commission are expected to meet to discuss the political situation in Serbia and further perspectives for the European integration process.
In addition to the Committee Chairperson, the delegation of the European Integration Committee will comprise Committee Deputy Chairman Laszlo Varga, Committee members Jadranka Joksimovic, Dijana Vukomanovic, Mladen Grujic, Mira Petrovic, Jelena Trivan, Slobodan Samardzic, Ivan Andric, as well as MPs Biljana Pantic Pilja and Slavica Saveljic.
The meeting will also be attended by Minister of Justice and Public Administration Nikola Selakovic and European Integration Office Director Milan Pajevic.
