Eleventh Sitting of the Privatisation Committee
At the sitting held on 15 July, the Privatisation Committee completed a joint discussion on the activity reports of the Privatisation Agency for May and June 2009 and the Share Fund of the Republic of Serbia for June 2009, submitted by the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development.

The Committee accepted the reports of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development and endorsed the Privatisation Agency’s work programmes, by a majority of votes.
The Committee also considered the Privatisation Agency’s Information on the privatisation process of Betonjerka Co.Ltd. from Aleksinac. Accepting the information, the Committee decided to suggest that the Privatisation Agency, in cooperation with the Share Fund, should complete a restructuring of the company.
At the sitting, the Committee discussed the problems of SIK Kopaonik from Kursumlija. Representatives of the company emphasised the consequences of the badly conducted privatisation, their inability to launch production, as well as the plant’s importance for the local community. On that subject, the representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development stated that a company has come forward in the meantime that could be Kopaonik’s strategic partner, adding that it is expected to make an new privatisation offer.
