At the sitting held on 6 March, the Committee appointed deputy Janko Veselinovic head of the Friendship group with Croatia, and deputy Milos Jevtic head of the Friendship group with Austria. The Committee also endorsed the initiative to form a Friendship group with the Sovereign Order of Malta, with one reserved opinion. The Committee sitting was chaired by Prof. Dr Dragoljub Micunovic.

The Committee accepted several invitations for a delegation of the National Assembly to participate in the sessions of international organizations and institutions. Thus, Serbian delegations will take part in: the meeting of the working groups of the Third Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean in Rome, 12 – 14 March of this year, the session of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Political Affairs Committee, held in Paris on 17 march, as well as the 70^th Rose-Roth seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Sarajevo, 19 – 21 March. They also accepted the invitation to participate in the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights in Berlin 23-24 March 2009, as well as the meeting of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Monitoring Committee in Valencia, 30-31 March.

In the first quarter, the National Assembly will be visited by the Chairman of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the Maltese Parliament, and an exchange of parliamentary delegations with the Republic of Slovakia will also be realised.

The Committee also accepted invitations to the Western European Union Assembly Colloquy on civilian-military cooperation and crisis management in Berlin on 2 April of this year and the Parliamentary Conference on the world economic crisis, organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union, in Geneva, 7- 8 May of this year.

The Committee also accepted the initiative for the 32^nd meeting of the Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation in Belgrade, 18 - 19 March. They also endorsed the initiative to hold the 16^th Annual Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy in the Republic of Serbia, in June 2009 and accepted the invitation of the Croatian Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman for a delegation of the Serbian Foreign Affairs Committee to visit Croatia.

The Committee also accepted reports on the realisation of several visits and contacts between the National Assembly Speaker, Assembly delegations and deputies and parliamentarians of other countries.
