Eighth Sitting of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality

At the sitting held on 20 May 2021, the members of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality considered the Bill amending and modifying the Anti-Discrimination Law and the Bill on Gender Equality in detail.

The Government and the Committee proposed that the National Assembly accept three of the ten amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Anti-Discrimination Law. The Committee also submitted two amendments of its own, to articles 7 and 15 of the Bill, which Minister for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue Gordana Comic accepted.

The Government and the Committee proposed that the National Assembly accept 17 of the 69 amendments submitted to the Bill on Gender Equality and to reject the rest.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Muamer Bacevac, and was attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Vesna Stejpanovic, Zoltan Pek, Dragana Mincic Brankovic, Dr Nina Pavicevic, Stefan Srbljanovic, Jelena Mihailovic, Prof. Dr Dragoljub Ackovic, Aleksandar Jovanovic, Nebojsa Bakarec, Dragana Radinovic, Sandra Jokovic, Vesna Nedovic and Dejan Stosic.
