She said that tying the normalization of Belgrade-Pristina relations in with the process of opening new negotiation chapters can only be detrimental and counterproductive for Serbia’s European integration process, which is not in the EU’s interest. The Belgrade-Pristina dialogue is at a standstill because the of Pristina’s unilateral decisions and unfulfilled obligations which are the crucial disruptive element in the dialogue and trust-building process.

Tanja Miscevic, Chief of the Negotiating Team for the Accession of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union, was one of the keynote speakers on the topic.

Taking part in the workshop on the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, Dubravka Filipovski emphasized Serbia’s readiness to continue with the revision of the Danube Strategy Action Plan with the European and regional partners, stressing that, in the implementation of the Danube Strategy, three issues are vital for Serbia: joint projects and exchange of experiences, common security of the Danube and cross-border cooperation and strengthening the Parliament’s control role in the implementation of the Danube Strategy.
