She added that Serbia continues to follow its own foreign policy, based on the UN Charter, which are the principles it will continue to be guided by.

"Crises and challenges have only strengthened our friendship, which has withstood the tests of time and various pressures. Thank you for your support in the UN regarding the statement on the resolution on Srebrenica and for respecting the Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty," said Ragus.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fariz Rzayev pointed out that both countries faced injustice and violation of the UN Charter in terms of territorial integrity and sovereignty, and added that for his country, Kosovo is Serbia, and that justice always wins in the end. He thanked Serbia for supporting Azerbaijan, especially in international parliamentary institutions.

At the meeting, the officials also pointed out that the potential for improving bilateral relations is abundant, especially in areas of mutual interest, while there is also significant room for improving parliamentary cooperation, which should be raised to a higher level. The development of practical dialogue between parliaments and parliamentary diplomacy will be extremely important in future times, which will send clear political messages, it was concluded.
