Deputy Speaker Ragus Meets with Israeli Ambassador to Serbia

National Assembly Deputy Speaker and Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee Marina Ragus met today with the Ambassador of the State of Israel Avivit Bar-Ilan with whom she spoke about the bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Israel and the advancement of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

The officials expressed readiness to raise the cooperation between the National Assembly and the Knesset to a higher level, as well as establish new types of cooperation between the two parliaments. In view of the long history of good relations between the Serbian and Jewish people, as well as the excellent mutual understanding, they assessed that there is ample room to advance cooperation between the two countries in great many areas.

Deputy Speaker Ragus and Ambassador Bar-Ilan also exchanged opinions on the current geo-political situation with a special focus on the situation in the Middle East.
