Deputy Speaker Kovacs Meets with Hungarian Minister of Justice

National Assembly Deputy Speaker Elvira Kovacs and the Deputy Head of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians Parliamentary Group Boris Bajic met today at the National Assembly with Hungarian Minister of Justice Bence Tuzson, currently in official visit to the Republic of Serbia.

Kovacs and Bajic informed the guest about the current situation in Serbia, as well as the National Assembly’s legislative activities and work. They pointed out that the ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and Hungary on Legal Assistance in Civil Matters, signed in Budapest in November 2024, is expected to be on the agenda of the next National Assembly session.

The officials agreed that the exceptional relations between Serbia and Hungary at the political level also have a positive impact on the everyday lives of the citizens of our two countries.

They also discussed the work of the national councils of national minorities in Serbia, and concluded that the Hungarian National Council is working well, implementing a large number of projects with the support of the Hungarian Government.
