Dacic Sends Telegram of Condolences on Death of Eduard Kukan

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola the death of former member of the European Parliament and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Eduard Kukan.


“Dear Madam President,

It is with deep regret that I received the news of the sudden death of former member of the European Parliament and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, Eduard Kukan.

On behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and on my own behalf, allow me to express my deepest condolences on the death of my dear friend and colleague. During the last few years, we have successfully worked together as co-facilitators in the inter-party dialogue in Serbia. Former member of the European Parliament Eduard Kukan provided sincere support Serbia on its European path and we really cooperated in the best period of understanding and friendship.

We sympathise with the pain of his departure and express our sincere condolences to his family members.”
