Dacic Sends Condolences to Friendly People of Greece on Death of Mikis Theodorakis
As everyone in Serbia, it was with deep sadness that I received the news of the departure of Mikis Theodorakis, a great friend to our people and an icon of modern Greece. With his timeless music, Mikis Theodorakis introduced his country to the whole world and made it love it forever. But not only with his music, he indebted the whole world with his fight against injustice and oppression, for equality and solidarity, to which he dedicated his life – both as a fighter against Nazi occupation and as a fighter against the military junta. Serbia will also never forget this great Greek because he raised his mighty voice against the 1999 NATO bombing, and for everything he did for our country before and after that, especially for our culture.
