Dacic Receives Qatari Ambassador to Serbia in Farewell Visit

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Serbia Mubarak bin Fahad Al-Thani, in a farewell visit.

National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic stressed that the bilateral relations between the two countries are following an upward trajectory and thanked Ambassador Al-Thani for the efforts he invested during his mandate into advancing overall cooperation. He also expressed readiness to, in his capacity as National Assembly Speaker, work on strengthening parliamentary cooperation and thus contribute to the strengthening of friendly ties between Qatar and Serbia.

Ambassador Al-Thani agreed that the bilateral relations are good and that efforts should be invested into their further development. He thanked the National Assembly Speaker for his contribution to the advancement of cooperation in his previous posts.

The officials agreed that contacts should be intensified and to soon organize an exchange of visits between the heads of the two parliaments, as well as parliamentary friendship groups, to that end.

The National Assembly Speaker congratulated the Ambassador on Eid al-Adha and wished him success in his further career.
