Cubrilovic Congratulates Ivica Dacic on Election for National Assembly Speaker

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received a congratulatory note from the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Cubrilovic on his election for National Assembly Speaker:

Dear Speaker Dacic,

On behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska and myself, allow me to extend my sincerest congratulations to You, the newly elected leader and all the members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, wishing you to successfully lead the Parliament in the interest of the state of Serbia, protection of its sovereignty and integrity, to the benefit of all of its people.

I am convinced that the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska will continue the successful interparliamentary cooperation and work toward promoting it and the overall connections in all areas of life. Cooperation with the National Assembly of Serbia is for us the most important and most concrete form of interparliamentary cooperation that we have achieved so far.

The parliaments of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia, as well as their working bodies, cooperate intensively, meet continuously, exchange experiences and strengthen cooperation that is to mutual interest. I am convinced that our cooperation will be intensive and that we will hold the next meeting of the Commission for Cooperation between the National Assembly of Serbia and the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka, whose first session was held in Belgrade in February this year. The Commission was formed in accordance with the 2018 Memorandum signed by the speaker of the two assemblies and represents the highest and most comprehensive form of our institutional cooperation.

Dear Speaker Dacic, I wish you and all the elected MPs of the 12th Legislature of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia successful work on the adoption of laws and other acts that will ensure the faster progress and development of Serbia in the interest of all its citizens.
