Cooperation with the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany
Chairperson of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Nataša Micic, Vice-chairperson Gordana Comic and Deputies Nada Kolundžija and Dragor Hiber held talks at the Assembly today with a delegation of the Federal Parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany led by the Parliament's Vice-chairperson Petra Blaess.
National Assembly Representatives thanked their German counterparts on the help provided so far, and acquainted them with priority activities in the forthcoming processes of preparing and realising reforms and transition, as well as with specific issues relating to continuing co-operation between the two countries in certain areas.
At the beginning of their two-day stay in Yugoslavia, the guests expressed interest in the re-constitution of the Federation, the issues relating to privatisation, public finances, social programmes, as well as human and women's rights issues.
The talks especially stressed the creation of possibilities for intensifying inter-parliamentary co-operation and establishing specific forms of co-operation within parliamentary groups for certain topics and fields, as well as co-operation and support at the level of state administration.
