Constitutional and Legislative Issues Committee Chairperson Meets with Ombudsman

The Chairperson of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues Milica Nikolic met today at the National Assembly with the Ombudsman, MA Zoran Pasalic, to discuss topics of mutual importance.

The officials agreed that regular contacts between parliamentary committees and the Ombudsman allow the MPs to better monitor the work of this institution and be better informed.

They expressed readiness to intensify cooperation within the scope of competence of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues, so that the MPs could be better informed about the work of the institution of Ombudsman.

The Committee Chairperson thanked the Ombudsman for the ongoing cooperation, adding she was open to expanding the exchange of professional experiences, given that both institutions have an important role in the legislative branch.
