Chairpersons of Three Parliamentary Committees Host National Defence School Attendees

The chairpersons of the Security Services Control Committee, MA Igor Becic, Defence and Internal Affairs Committee, MA Milovan Drecun, and the Foreign Affairs Committee, Marina Ragus, received the attendees of the School of National Defence at the National Assembly House.

The attendees of the 69th class of the General Staff Training were informed about the scope of work of the abovementioned committees, as well as the results achieved in the previous period, with special emphasis on the importance of the National Assembly’s control function.

In the discussion that followed, the guests expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and open dialogue. In addition to discussing current internal and geopolitical risks, they also raised the issue of the greatest security challenges for our country. They showed interest in learning more about the scope of work of the Security Services Control Committee.

The importance of military cooperation was emphasised, as evidenced by the fact that among the attendees of the 69th class there are representatives from the People's Republic of China and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was underlined as the best indicator that the Serbian Armed Forces attach exceptional importance to strengthening both regional and global cooperation, as a guarantee of preserving peace.
