Bojan Torbica and Djordje Komlenski Meet with Brazilian Workers' Party Delegation

MPs Bojan Torbica and Djordje Komlenski received the Secretary of the Workers' Party of Brazil Romenio Pereira in the National Assembly House.

Bojan Torbica thanked Brazil for its support of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and stressed that the friendly relations the two countries have nurtured throughout history open up space to deepen cooperation at all levels, especially in the field of parliamentary cooperation.

Djordje Komlenski spoke about Serbia's interest in BRICS membership.

"The issue of Serbia's sovereignty is what we are fighting for and the way BRICS treats its members is the reason why we are interested in joining the organisation," believes Komlenski.

Pereira informed his hosts about the current political situation in Brazil, emphasizing that, in light of the global political situation, his party stands firmly on the side of peace.

He invited the National Assembly to send a delegation to visit his country so that meetings and more intensive contact between MPs may help improve the overall cooperation between Serbia and Brazil.

The meeting was attended by the Serbian Ambassador to Brazil, Aleksandar Ristic.
