On occasion of Police Day, the acting President of Serbia and President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Natasa Micic, sent a message of congratulations to the Ministry of the Interior. The message reads:
On occasion of 13 June, Police Day, I offer all its officers my most heartfelt congratulations and wish even more success in their future activities. Officers of the Police, together with other state bodies and institutions, have contributed greatly to the fight against organised and all other forms of crime. Therefore, as President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and acting President of Serbia, I pay you the greatest respect.
I am certain that the future will see further reform and modernisation of the Police. This is the common aim of the state, the police and the entire public. This reform is being undertaken above all for our own sake, but it is also a necessary step in acceding to European and Euro-Atlantic integrations, an aim that our society and our state strive for.
Once again I offer you the best wishes for Police Day.
