Another Round of Consultations on Constitutional Changes in National Assembly

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Minister of Justice Maja Popovic had another round of consultations on constitutional changes in the field of the judiciary.

Today they discussed forming a Working Group for said constitutional changes as soon as possible, so that all the stakeholders may have the time needed to draft amendments before the meeting with the Venice Commission. The invitation to join the Working Group would go to the members of the State Prosecutorial Council and Judges and Prosecutors Associations so that the process could be fully transparent and include all the relevant factors.

The Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues had already adopted the Serbian Government’s Proposal to amend the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.
