7th session of the Committee on Petitions and Proposals

The Committee on Petitions and Proposals held its seventh session on 6 September. The session was chaired by Slobodan Adzic, the Committee’s chairman.


The Committee on Petitions and Proposals held its seventh session on 6 September. The session was chaired by Slobodan Adzic, the Committee’s chairman.

The session discussed the implementation of the Committee’s conclusions relating to the Report on the Petition of a Belgrade group of parents alleging their children died or were abducted at birth.

Representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Justice, the Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office and parents’ group took part in the Committee’s session.

The Committee requested that meetings should be held between representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of the Interior and the Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office to create an action plan for the solving of these cases, and that the Committee and representatives of the parents should be informed of these actions. It was also requested that officials of the Ministry of the Interior should meet representatives of the parents’ group.
