On 13 May, at its seventh session, the Agriculture Committee adopted its project proposal for applying for funding from the OSCE Committee Development Fund.

The project envisages Committee members taking part in discussions and round tables with trade unions, farmers’ associations and agricultural stations’ representatives, as part of the creation of Serbia’s long-term agricultural development strategy.

The project also provides for members of the Committee and farmers to participate in seminars on ISO quality systems standards, while the Committee is to take part in public discussion on the draft Agriculture Bill and the draft Veterinary Medicine Bill.

It was agreed that the Committee would hold its next session on 20 May, at the Novi Sad Agricultural Fair; a programme of measures designed to improve cattle-raising is scheduled for discussion.
